We’ll reach Matera by minivan, from Torre Guaceto area in the Salento area. The best way to explore Matera is to breath its atmosphere, walking through the winding streets and getting lost in the alleys of Sasso Barisano and Sasso Caveoso, Cave Home, the typically furnished house to understand the traditions of the inhabitants of the old districts, the Neviera, the Rock Church of Santa Lucia.
We’ll go to the typical bakery where we will discover the traditional methods of cooking of the IGP bread of Matera.
